Romance with Integrity & Respect

You might wonder why this topic is included in a homeschool course, and understandably so. It is because this arena is huge in your child's heart, and therefore life, and therefore preparation for life ~ and therefore their education. This whole thing of "relating to the opposite sex" is often a huge hole in the bucket of their education. Yes, I have heard the saying that "Education is not the filling of a bucket, but the lighting of a fire," so bear with me here...

First, I'm just talking about what they are filled with. And dating and that whole scene can be a humongous hole out of which much time, focus, and personal values drain right out.

Second, as for the "lighting of the fire," if we want to go with that analogy, the dating scene can be likened to a wet blanket upon said fire. So, having said all that, I'm not going to test you on this, or bring you to my way of thinking; I am just going to introduce you to the concept. If you want to read more, I HIGHLY recommend any books by Eric and Leslie Ludy.
